I work as a Requirement Analyst and Project Manager at NASDAQ OMX in Stockholm. During my three years within the company, I have had the chance to work in many exiting projects, with customers all over the world. For example I have daily contact with the Saudi Arabia exchange. What is the best thing with working at NASDAQ OMX?
It’s a truly international work field. I have colleagues and customers in many different countries. Working in a global company is very educational and it broadens your horizons. What is the most challenging thing?
Because of the difference in time zones you have to plan more. It is not a problem, people are really flexible when it comes to meeting hours, but sometimes I have to get up in the middle of the night to have a phone conference. What characteristics are important to enjoy working at NASDAQ OMX?
Asking questions, being eager to learn more about the financial market - both from a technology or market structure perspective are important. I also think openness to working with different people from different cultures and backgrounds is exciting and part of everyday life here.

What do you do?
I work in the Fixed Income group. There are 13 of us based in both Stockholm and Copenhagen. I´m an Account Manager for Danish mortgage institutions. I also work with Danish Fixed Income Derivatives and more precisely with introducing central counterpart clearing for selected products on the Danish Fixed Income Derivatives market.
What is the best thing with working at NASDAQ OMX?
In my role I do many different things, and I don’t have to sit at the office all week, because I am meeting with our members and costumers.
What is the most challenging thing?
I can be daunting at times working with clients who have worked in Fixed Income industry their entire career. You really have to know your stuff.
What characteristics are important to enjoy working at NASDAQ OMX?
The fact that you can influence the projects you work on to a large degree, and prioritize the time spend on each project is something that motivates me.

I am an Associate Director in the economics & statistical group which provides analytical and statistical support to all departments and business teams at NASDAQ OMX. We are a global team with nine employees in the United States and eleven in Stockholm, Sweden. What is the best thing with working at NASDAQ OMX?
Although we are not a large company, we are global and there are regular opportunities to work with top executives. It is satisfying to know that the information I provide helps to influence major business decisions. What is the most challenging thing?
The financial services industry is rapidly changing and therefore we must keep abreast of new business prospects and developments. But this also provides the opportunity to work on new and challenging assignments. What characteristics are important to enjoy working at NASDAQ OMX?
You have to have an interest and passion to work in the financial services industry. You also need to be able to work with people in multiple areas of the company, for example finance, marketing, transaction services, and IT too. NASDAQ OMX is a very exciting company. There are a lot of opportunities for your work to be visible and make a difference.
