Regulation at Nasdaq Commodities

Nasdaq Oslo ASA (former Nord Pool ASA) holds a license as a derivatives exchange under the Exchange Act (2007). The license is granted by Ministry of Finance and Nasdaq Oslo ASA is under supervision by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, Finanstilsynet.

The clearinghouse, Nasdaq Stockholm AB, holds a license from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen.

Under Exchange Act § 27 the exchange is required to establish and maintain a market surveillance function. More detailed regulations regarding the market surveillance has been issued by the Ministry of Finance (Børsforskriften, chapter 4).

Market participants must comply with the trading and clearing rules.
