2012 is the year when Sandvik celebrates 150 years as a company and in 2011 Sandvik had been listed at the Stockholm Stock Exchange for 110 years.

To celebrate the listing anniversary representatives from Sandvik joined us on January 12, 2012. Together with the Swedish Center for Business History we looked back on Sandvik’s long and impressive history, followed by Sandvik’s CEO Olof Faxander performing the market closing bell.

Jenny Rosberg, Senior Vice President at NASDAQ OMX commented: “Sandvik’s journey since its listing in 1901 is remarkable and a true testament to how innovation and profitability can thrive in a publically traded environment. During its 110 years as a listed company Sandvik has grown to become one of the leading and most recognized industrial companies in the world and we are ever so proud to have them in our NASDAQ OMX family of companies.”

Sandvik is a high-technology engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading position within selected areas. The company has business activities worldwide that are conducted through representation in more than 130 countries. In 2010 the Group had 47,000 employees and sales of approximately SEK 83 billion.
