Q-Port

Nasdaq Q-Port – The Next Generation Clearing Interface

In order to improve the service to our members and participants, and to make the necessary preparations for upcoming MiFID II requirements, Nasdaq has introduced Q-Port, a new user interface that replaces Clearing Workstation 2 (CW2). Q-Port is a next generation user interface, designed to allow faster time to market of new functionality and to be easy for participants to use and maintain. It is also used by the Nasdaq Futures Exchange (NFX).

Q-Port benefits includes:

  • State-of-the-art trade reporting and margin simulation
  • Enhanced views based on member feedback and industry standards
  • Smart features such as auto-complete and linking of related views
  • Improved response times
  • No installation required, access via Google Chrome or Internet Explorer

  • Simple and secure connectivity via existing extranet connection or with two-factor authentication (2FA) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption over Internet

  • MiFID II compliant

IMPORTANT! Due to the decommission of Clearing Workstation 2 (CW2), it is mandatory for all CW2 users to migrate to Q-Port.

The onboarding ended October 27, 2017. If you still use CW2 as the primary Clearing tool, please contact Member Services in order to get help with the migration.

Please note however that CW2 should be kept as a fallback clearing system until November release goes live.

Please note that Clearing Workstation 1 (CW1) users are not affected by this change. Nasdaq will continue to support the CW1 until further notice.

Technical Information

Q-Port is completely web browser-based, which means that no software installation is required and you can always be sure that you are running the latest version of the application. Q-Port supports the following web browsers:

• Google Chrome (v.39 or later)
• Internet Explorer (v.11 or later)

NOTE! If you would experience any issues when using Google Chrome, please report these to Technical Support: technicalsupport@nasdaq.com, +46 8 405 6750.

Q-Port allows easy connectivity to the Nasdaq Genium INET platform via the Internet or Nasdaq Extranet. For a secure connection, SSL certificates are used and for members using Q-Port via Internet, a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is used to ensure full security.
